Peachy and Zesty...

Fallen Rock Zone hosts Sherry and Barb blasted back onto the wonder-web of sound with their first FRZ Alternative Show of 2013. You can listen to the show via the widget below. If you've got the new year blues the show is well worth a listen for those who like discovering new music, and the hosts' enthusiasm and humour is infectious; we're not sure what the FRZ ladies had for Christmas but we think it's still in their system and they should probably drink some more water... ; )

Listen out for lots of euphemistic mentions of Tingle In The Netherlands (thanks ladies - we'll take whatever we can get) plus you will also hear the Owen J. re-mix of a track 'Todo Está Bien' by our friends, Argentinian synth band Farmacia.

We've been fans of Farmacia since we first got chatting to them on myspace way back when and were flattered to be included in their online photo album which depicts them with some of their favourite CDs.

Of course, we HAD to return the compliment by posing with our copies of their album 'Nada De Nada'.
Isn't the internet GREAT?! We think so.

We are now also on tumblr...

You lucky people! We have set up a tumblr account which we have been using to share pictures, music etc. and have also had some fun re-blogging some quirky stuff that has taken our fancy. We'll still be using blogger for longer, wordy blogs, such as this one. Jon, are you on tumblr? I think you'd like it; there's lots of sharing of beautiful pictures and, like the myspace days of old, ANIMATED GIFS! Not recommended to those of a nervous disposition or anyone who has fits. Here's the link. (HT)

Women Rock!

Thanks again to Sherry and Barb at Fallen Rock Zone for continuing to play our tracks. We were especially chuffed to be included on their 'Women Rock!' show on 12th December, which was a celebration of female musicians and female fronted bands featuring interviews and music from a range of genres, from rock to our own brand of wonky cheeky synth.

Given that the music industry has always been notoriously sexist it's refreshing to hear a female hosted show championing women who create interesting music, as opposed to merely being the eye candy while the male svengali pulls all the strings. Actually, that's exactly how we do things at Tingle Towers but keep it under your hats...no not really. Click here to listen to the 'Women Rock!' show.

Aside from listening out for our own tracks on Fallen Rock Zone, we've enjoyed listening to other bands that  the ladies have been playing. It's not all about us you know! A new one on us that we like is female fronted Myamoto who list their current location as 'Manchester and New York' so can't be bad. There's a taster below.

Also, if you missed last week's Alternative Show you can listen again via the widget.

As ever, we were thrilled and most grateful to be included in the show and enjoyed listening. We especially liked this one, another new one on us. I think I like this especially because the vocals remind me a bit of Mike Flowers though that's probably not the intention...(HT).

Helên Tingle does a jingle. (That's a rhyme). Fallen Rock Zone-Alternative Show by Fallen Rock Zone in Music Thu, December 6, 2012

Here's the latest edition of The Fallen Rock Zone Alternative Show. You may recall that when we were on last week, host Sherry suggested 'I Like The way You Butter My Bread' as a song title. We love a challenge, as long as it doesn't involve climbing stuff and getting puffed out, AND we'd also promised them some more show ident / jingle type things so HT came up with her first ever jingle which you can hear about 6 minutes in, how exciting! It's just a small thank you for all the airplay that Sherry and Barb have given us.

You can listen to the whole show via the widget below or download to listen at your leisure as usual. As well as loads of top tunes, they have an interview with Father Tiger AND  we noticed that the ladies have acquired a gong which we think adds a certain amount of gravitas to the show, and rightly so!

Our Blog Talk Radio Cherry is Well and Truly Popped!

So, those lovely ladies at The Fallen Rock Zone Alternative Show invited us on to have a chat and we said 'YES!' This was our first ever radio interview type thang and obviously our first foray into the exciting world of Blog Talk Radio. As ever we'd like to say a big thank you to Sherry and Barb for inviting us on and for being such great fun. We had a good old rant and a ramble on about what we're up to, and we even had a bit of a moan about Simon Cowell and his ilk; we think Sherry and Barb should set up a help line for electronic musicians to vent about such enemies of electronic culture...

Anyway, this all happened yesterday evening but you can listen again via the widget below and you can also download the whole show to listen on i-tunes at your leisure.
